Where Is The ByTowne, How Do I Get There & Where Do I Park?
The ByTowne Cinema is located at 325 Rideau Street, just east of King
Edward Avenue.
If you find yourself in the Rideau Centre mall, you're at the wrong
location - but quite close. If you're travelling on foot, just exit the Rideau
Centre on Rideau Street and head east; that's away from the Parliament
Buildings. A short walk along Rideau Street, crossing the main intersections of
Dalhousie Street, then King Edward Avenue, will find you here within ten
minutes.
Buses
If you opt for public transit from the Rideau Centre, hop on the
eastbound #2 (Blair), #7 (St. Laurent), #14 (St. Laurent) or #18 (St. Laurent).
Our flashing marquee, visible from the left side of the bus after crossing King
Edward Avenue, will beckon you on the third bus stop. If travelling downtown
from St. Laurent Shopping Centre, the westbound #2 (Bayshore), #7 (Carleton),
#14 (Iris) or #18 (Britannia) buses stop fifty paces short of the ByTowne's
front door.

Parking
Click the map for a full size version | If you've driven your car to the ByTowne, you may be wondering "Where do I
park?" Unfortunately, the ByTowne Cinema does not have a parking facility but
metered parking stretches eastbound along Rideau Street from Kind Edward Avenue
to Friel Street. Street parking can also be found on Nelson Street in
Lowertown, as well as Besserer Street in Sandy Hill.

As with any street parking in the winter, keep snow removal in mind. The
ByTowne
is bordered by a parking lot at the rear of the building which belongs to our
neighbour the Town House Motor Hotel. The lot is accessible from Rideau Street,
the flat-rate evening charge is $3.50, and you pay the desk clerk in the hotel
lobby. Another lot charging an evening flat-rate is located next to the Quality
Hotel at the corner of Rideau Street and King Edward Avenue. If you're more
visually inclined and the above is more confusing than illuminating, check out
the accompanying ByTowne Parking Map.
