A little bit long but amazingly entertaining. I love the cliffhanger ending in order to prepare you for the next book. One of the best movies of the year!

LOTR was the best movie I have ever seen in my entire life, and I`ve seen alot of movies! Orlando Bloom/Legolas is SOOOOOOOOOO hot!!! So was Elijah Wood/Frodo. I envy Arwin and Galadriel, getting to spend a whole year hanging around with all the hot guys... but yeah, it was really well done, and followed the book really well. The scenery was perfect,(duh, it was New Zealand!) I loved the battle scenes! P.S. legolas is hot! ~stephanie~

The fact that the movie was REALLY based on the book except for a few undisturbing and minor changes was a relief. Most movies based on books usually make me wish the movie hadn`t been made, which is more so when the book is good. Lord of the Rings is a pleasant exception.

This has to be one of the most over rated movies of this season. It was good, but in no way does it deserve a 5 star rating. Were geek boys the only ones who rated this movie!

Best movie of the year! Its frightning, intelligent, and overwhelming. Brings out the real character of the book "The Fellowship of the Rings".

Finally technology has made it possible to make a film of Tolkien`s Lord of the Rings. The special effects were stunning, the acting superb, and for the most part, the movie stayed true to the book. And for all those people who have told you the ending was weak, remember it is a trilogy, and you only have to wait one year to see the next instalment. This is a must see movie and even if you don`t know the story, you will be captivated by this film.
